The Fine Print
1. World Series of Poker, RIO Suites, Las Vegas, USA, July 28 to August 10, 2006.
Buy-in is $10,000 + $2,500 expenses. One prize package awarded for every $12,500
in prize pool in each final. Remaining prize pool awarded as cash (cage
deposit) to next finisher. One seat guaranteed. Players will receive the travel
and expense money in cash and the buy-in will be made for them into the tournament.
Players must be 21 or over to play in this event.
2. The World Poker Open, WPT event, Gold Strike Horseshoe, Tunica, Las Vegas, USA,
January 22-26, 2006.
Buy-in is $10,200 + $2,300 expenses. One prize package awarded for every $12,500
in prize pool in each final. Remaining prize pool awarded as cash (cage
deposit) to next finisher. One seat guaranteed. Players will receive the travel
and expense money in cash and the buy-in will be made for them into the tournament.
Players must be 21 or over to play in this event.
3. The LA Poker Classic, WPT event, Commerce Casino, California, USA, February 16
to 23, 2006.
Buy-in is $10,000 + $2,500 expenses. OOne prize package awarded for every $12,500
in prize pool in each final. Remaining prize pool awarded as cash (cage
deposit) to next finisher. One seat guaranteed. Players will receive the travel
and expense money in cash and the buy-in will be made for them into the tournament.
Players must be 21 or over to play in this event.
4. The World Headsup Poker C hampionships, May 8-18, 2006.
Buy-in approximately $12,000 + $3,000 expenses. One prize package awarded for every
$15,000 in prize pool in each final. Remaining prize pool awarded as cash
(cage deposit) to next finisher. One seat guaranteed. Players will receive the travel
and expense money in cash and the buy-in will be made for them into the tournament.
5. Not all grand finals will be displayed in the poker client immediately;
posting will occur about a week prior to the start time of a tourney. Players who
have qualified will be shown on the web site, though that information may lag by
up to a week.
6. All STT Satellites (feeders) to MTT Finals pay no cash prize . . . the prize
pool pays for the seat in the final and only first place gets any prize.
7. MTTs that award noncash prizes such as seats to another MTT, or to an off-site
event, award that prize to as many top finishers as possible, and any remaining
prize pool less than that non-cash prize is paid as cash to the next finisher's
cage account. For example, if the prize pool for a Grand Final, is $28,550,
two noncash prizes of $12,500 each are awarded to 1st and 2nd place. The 3rd place
wins $3,550.with a guaranteed package prize of $12,500 is $28,550, two non-cash
prizes of $12,500 each are awarded to 1st and 2nd place. The 3rd place wins $3,550.
8. You must be of legal age in your place of residence and in the jurisdiction of
the off-site tournament to win a seat and expenses. No cash or other substitutions.
In the event an ineligible person wins, management reserves the right to award the
prize to another player by the mechanism of management's choosing. If the intended
off-site tournament is, for any reason, cancelled or materially changed, management
reserves the right to award a comparable prize or cash, at management's discretion.
9. Any player who wins an entry to any subsequent tournament via a qualifying single
or multi-table feeder tournament musttake that seat. No cash payouts will
be made, except where a player has already registered for the target tournament.
In the event a player wins more than one seat for any given tournament, cash will
be paid as the prize beyond the first seat won. Seats are nontransferable, including
seats in off-site tournaments.
10. By entering these satellite tournaments series, each player agrees that if s/he
wins a seat in an off-site tournament s/he will represent the poker room by wearing
branded apparel, including but not limited to shirts and hats during table play.
Further, winners agree to participate in scheduled photo opportunities, press conferences,
interviews, and other publicity-oriented activities such receptions, parties, etc.,
again while wearing branded apparel. This obligation extends for a period of twelve
months from time of end of the off-site tournament. The poker room will be responsible
for any costs associated in meeting these obligations.
11. Should the off-site tournament be subsequently televised, qualifiers must agree
to be filmed at the discretion of the organizers of the event.
